Lauren Stitches | Custom Apparel for Brands and Individuals
Overview
My goal is to make the apparel decoration process as smooth and enjoyable as possible, with clear expectations that support both my clients and my creative work.
As my business evolves, I’m expanding beyond fully custom embroidery to include The Patchwork Edit, an interactive wearable art experience, and a growing collection of ready-to-order apparel available through my shop.
With this shift, custom embroidery is now approached with more structure and clarity so I can continue delivering high-quality, intentional work while protecting turnaround times and creative focus.
Below are a few important details to review before placing a custom order.
Custom Order Requirements & FAQs
At this time, custom apparel is reserved for current clients so I can maintain quality and turnaround times.
If you're new here, you're warmly invited to shop my pre-designed pieces or request a referral to other local apparel businesses I trust.
Artwork & Design
I no longer provide graphic design or custom artwork creation.
All artwork must be provided before ordering. Clients should already know their design, placement, garment color(s), and style. I'm happy to make small suggestions based on those details, but I don't take on creative concept development anymore.
For custom work, my focus is on embroidery and print production, bringing your finished ideas to life with precision and care.
For Embroidery: All new embroidery projects require digitizing, which converts your design into a stitch file that tells the machine how to embroider it. I partner with one of the top digitizers in the industry, with over 26 years of experience to ensure best results. Digitizing fees start at $30 for small designs and are a one-time setup cost per design and size.
For Printing: Print-ready files must be provided in SVG or high-quality PNG format (300 DPI).
Garments & Materials
Yes, customer-supplied items are accepted with a handling fee and at your own risk.
Due to the mechanical nature of embroidery and printing, there's always a small chance of damage during production. As is standard industry practice, I do not replace or reimburse the cost of customer-supplied items in the event of damage. Only the embroidery or print fee will be refunded.
A customer-supplied garment fee is applied to each item. This fee helps offset the additional handling, preparation, testing, and production adjustments required when working on garments not sourced through the studio, as well as the loss of margin typically built into supplied apparel.
All garments must be clean and approved before drop-off.
Ordering & Production
Yes, there is a $25 embroidery minimum per order.
Digitizing fees and sales tax do not count toward this minimum.
Standard turnaround time is four weeks from the time payment is received. Payment is required to hold your spot on my schedule.
Larger orders or supply delays may extend this timeline, I'll always communicate updates promptly.
I check my messages and emails during business hours only. Please allow 1-2 business days for a reply.
I value customer service and do my best to stay organized while managing production and creative work.
Delivery & Shipping
I no longer operate out of a public studio space.
All orders will be shipped, or, if preferred, I make deliveries once per week (day is dependent on my schedule) within a 15 mile radius of Oshkosh.
